Buffet breakfast at the hotel followed by a tour of the city.

The tour of New Delhi starts with visit to the Qutab Minar, a 239ft sandstone tower, considered an Indo-Islamic architectural wonder of ancient India. The tower complex has a number of other important monuments including the Alai Darwaza gateway built in 1310 AD. Finally, wrap your New Delhi tour with a drive through Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate & other important government buildings.

The tour of Old Delhi takes you to the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Drive past the magnificent Red Fort - a red sandstone marvel built on the banks of River Yamuna by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Also drive past Raj Ghat, built as a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.

Take an interesting Rickshaw Ride through Old Delhi. This ride is a truly memorable experience. Stroll through the bustling markets and bazaars and feel the pulse of India's capital city. DAY 03

DELHI – MANDAWA (4hrs 30mins. approx.)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Mandawa. On arrival, check in at the hotel.

Mandawa lies in the heart of Shekhawati region. The small town has many Havelies and temples. The terrace of the rugged fort provides a panoramic view of the town. The compact and busy little market town of Mandawa was settled in the 18th century and was fortified by the dominant merchant families. Today it has some of the finest painted havelies in the region, and is a perfect place for wandering at random.

Later, drive to all the places of this region to look at the painted mansions.

Also, visit the painted havelies of the Dhundlodh town and surrounding areas of Mandawa and Nawalgarh.

The painted havelis of the region are called The Open Air Art Galleries.

DAY 04

MANDAWA – BIKANER (3hrs approx.)

After breakfast, drive to Bikaner. On arrival, checkin at the hotel.

If ever beauty has bloomed in a desert, it has been at Bikaner. Founded in 1488 AD by Rao Bika Ji, it's located in north-west part of Rajasthan. The imposing palaces, beautiful and richly sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones display some of the finest creations of Rajput civilization. It's the lust for the "desert" or affection for the "desert" that tickles every heart to visit Bikaner.

Later in a day, visit Junagarh Fort also called the impregnable fort since it has the distinction of remaining unconquered. It is encircled by moat and houses, many outstanding palaces, pavilions and temples made of red sandstone and marble with kiosks and balconies. Also visit Lallgarh Palace which was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh. The intricate dexterous carving on the red stone is a hallmark of great craftsmanship. The palace treasures a marvelous collection of old photographs and hunting trophies, well preserved and exhibited.

Jaisalmer, unlike any other city, this desert fortress is one of Rajasthan's most exotic and unusual towns. Jaisalmer, an important ancient trading centre because of its strategic location on the camel trade routes, is often described as the 'golden city'. The havelis, built by merchants of the 19th century, are exquisitely carved from golden-yellow sandstone and are still in a beautiful condition. The fort built by Rawal Jaisal in the 12th century, stands on the 80 m high Trikuta hill, with beautifully carved Jain temples.

DAY 06

JAISALMER

After breakfast, enjoy a morning tour of the city.

About a quarter of the old city’s population resides within the walls of the Jaisalmer Fort, which has 99 bastions around its circumference, you journey will begin here, a fascinating place to wander around during the day.

Nathmalji ki Haveli is a late 19th century Haveli with intricate architecture a display of sheer craftsmanship. The left and right wings of the mansion were carved by two brothers. Although not identical, the wings are very similar and balanced in design. The interior walls are ornate with splendid miniature paintings. Patwon ki Haveli is the most elaborate and magnificent of the Jaisalmer havelis. It has exquisitely carved pillars and extensive corridors and chambers. One of the apartments of this five story high Haveli is painted with beautiful murals. Salim Singh ki Haveli is a 300 years old Haveli of Prime Minister to Maharaja Rawal Gaj Singh. It has a beautiful blue cupola roof with superbly carved brackets in the form of peacocks. Also visit Gadisar Lake.

In the evening, mount the camel and enjoy the Camel Ride through the desert. Witnessing the sunset over shifting sand dunes in this Rajasthani backdrop is an experience to cherish.

DAY 07

JAISALMER – JODHPUR (330kms/ 6 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur. On arrival in check in to the hotel.

Jodhpur is also known as "Sun City". Is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is called the Gateway to Thar, as it is literally on the edge of the Thar desert.

Visit the impressive Mehrangarh Fort on a 37 m low sandstone hill built by Rao Jodha in 1459. From the top of the fort one can get a bird’s eye view of the old city. You will notice the predominance of blue houses referred to as Brahmin houses - the colour being associated with the high caste. Proceed to the Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph built in 1899 for Maharajah Jaswant Singh II, Umaid Bhawan Palace and smaller memorials to other Maharajahs of Jodhpur.

DAY 08

JODHPUR – UDAIPUR VIA RANAKPUR (5 hrs approx.)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Udaipur via Ranakpur

On your way to Udaipur, visit Ranakpur Temple, a beautiful sculptured Jain temples. Marked as one of the five holy places for the Jain community, these were created in the 15th century. The central Chaumukha [four faced temple] is dedicated to Adinathji. The temple is an astounding creation with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars, all distinctly carved, with no two pillar the same. This is an amazing evidence of the genius sense of architecture that enhances the charm of the place. Every temple has this conceivable surface carved with equal delicacy. Overall Ranakpur is known as ' The tranquil pilgrimage town'.

After the visit, continue your drive to Udaipur

Udaipur also known as the City of Lakes. Udaipur is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency. Apart from its history, culture, and scenic locations, it is also known for its Rajput-era palaces. The Lake Palace, for instance, covers an entire island in the Pichola Lake. Many of the palaces have been converted into luxury hotels. It is often called the "Venice of the East", and is also nicknamed the "Lake City". Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar in this city are considered some of the most beautiful lakes in the state.

DAY 09

UDAIPUR

After breakfast, proceed for a tour of Udaipur City which includes the visit of Palace Museum, made of granite and marble with filigreed balconies, ornate windows and craftsmanship in glass. Each palace within the museum is an outstanding creation of art.

Also, visit Sahelion ki Bari, the “Ladies Garden”, with its rich foliage and intricately designed fountains.

In the evening, enjoy a Boat cruise in Lake Pichola on which the majestic Lake Palace Hotel is situated. See the ghats along the lake and the interesting buildings on the banks. The view of the palaces from the lake is spectacular. Dock at the Jagmandir Island where Maharana of Udaipur once gave Shah Jehan sanctuary.

DAY 10

UDAIPUR – RANTHAMBORE ( 7 hrs approx.)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Rathambore. On arrival,check in at the hotel

Ranthambore National Park is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country, and many visitors have been fortunate to spot these magnificent creatures in the wild.  The Park, which takes its name from the 10th century fortress, which lies within its boundaries, hosts many species of wildlife including sambar, chital, gaur and leopard apart from a host of bird life.

DAY 11

RANTHAMBORE – JAIPUR (4 hrs approx.)

Wake up early morning and leave for Jungle Safari (canter ride) in the Ranthambore National Park. Track the tigers and other wildlife through the morning.

Return back to the hotel for breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure.

In the afternoon, leave for 2nd Jungle Safari (canter ride)

Later, check out from the hotel and drive to Jaipur

JAIPUR

Breakfast at the hotel

After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jaipur.

Steeped in history and culture, this city is known for its magnificent palaces, forts, broad avenues and spacious gardens. The romantic charm of Jaipur takes you to an epoch of royalty and tradition.

Visit the Amber Fort, ancient capital of the Rajput rulers. The fort is perched atop the hill, overlooking a lake. On your way to the fort, stop for photography. Upon arrival at Amber, ascend to the hilltop fort on a decorated Elephant, in a true Maharaja style!

The majestic ramparts of the Fort, which surrounds the palace, makes one imagine the power of the character. Visit the beautiful complex of palaces including inlaid mirror palace, halls, pavilions, gardens and the famous Kali temple.

After Amber Fort, visit a factory to see the famous block printing work, a craft that has been practiced in Jaipur for centuries.

In the afternoon, visit the City Palace - the royal residence of Maharaja. The palace is a mixture of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.

Also visit the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Wind. The palace was built in 1799 to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch street processions while remaining in a strict state of purdah. Its a five-storey facade, decked with no less than 593 finely screened windows and balconies, making the building seem far larger than it really is. 

Finally, visit the 18th century Observatory, begun by Jai Singh. The most striking instrument in the observatory is the sundial with its 27m high gnomon. The shadow that it casts moves up to 4m an hour.

DAY 13

JAIPUR – AGRA VIA FATEHPUR SIKRI (250kms/ 5hrs approx.)

After breakfast, drive to Agra.

On the way to Agra, visit Fatehpur Sikri  for 45 minutes. Fatehpur Sikri is a World Heritage sight. This exquisite city was built by Akbar the Great in 1569. The city, built in red standstone, has forts, palaces and mosques. The city was abandoned 14 years after its creation due to political reasons. Must see are - The Diwan-i-am - a vast courtyard in which the emperor gave daily public audience, the Diwan-i-khas - a large quadrangle which hosted all the major functions of the Palace, the Pachisi court - Emperors private living quarter. Some other important buildings of this complex are Jodha Bhai’s Palace, Mariam’s Palace, Birbal’s Palace, Hawa Mahal and Panch Mahal. The Friday Mosque and the exquisite tomb of Sheik Salim Chisti are in the religious grounds set aside in a separate enclosure adjacent to the secular buildings.

After the visit, continue your drive to Agra

Later, proceed for a guided tour of the Agra Fort. The fort was built by three Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great in 1565 AD and is a design and construction masterpiece. Within the fort, there are a number of exquisite buildings including Moti Masjid, Jahangir's Palace, Khaas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Diwane-i-Am, Diwane-i-Khas and Musamman Burj where Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal Emperor, died as a prisoner.

Thereafter, visit the world famous Taj Mahal on decorated Tonga’s (your decorated and personalized colorful horse carriages up to the Entrance gate of Taj Mahal). Soak in its sublime beauty of the Taj. Taj Mahal is an inimitable poem in white marble. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 16th century, the monument took 22 years to complete! It was built in the memory of Queen Mumtaz Mahal where her mortal remains were enshrined. Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the World.
